Programme Description
The SSM/CLMI short certificate programme is designed with a principal focus on Business Management and its major dimensions like Investment, Entrepreneurship, Finance, etc as well as Logistics, Courier and Transport Management. These broad areas will be broken down to the respective courses with their contents.
The programme is meant to give an idea to participants of the quality and focus of degree programmes, particularly PhD, offered by SSM. It is, however, based on Certificate of Attendance and not by examination.
Justification for the programme
The justification for the programme is based on the challenges posed in the various course options and the environment as below:
a. The dichotomy between theory and practice.
b. Lack of proper comprehension of the business environment, especially in Nigeria and other developing countries in comparison with the industrialized nations.
c. The challenge of application and management of infrastructure in the context of business, logistics, courier and transport.
d. The inadequate knowledge of investment options and business development in the contemporary dynamic and seemingly chaotic

m. All officers trained by the Institute will be automatically qualified to be admitted into the professional grades of ASSOCIATE/MEMBER of the Courier and Logistics Management Institute.
